Bubbaism

So we are getting ready for Disney, right? Well, that includes getting Dixie's rabies booster up to date (I know, I know... should've already been done). Rob came home, got her and then dropped her back off after the appointment with the vet. When I came in with her, Josh came running over asking where were her bandaids?

He knew she got shots... and when he gets shots, he makes sure everybody sees the bandaids :-)

Graceism of the day

Grace came into the house after school and, as is our usual exchange, I ask how her day went.

G: Fine, but we had a sub again today.

me: Really? Was it the same as yesterday?

G: No, but she didn't tell us her name, so we just called her 'Excuse me'

I am still laughing.

Pictures...

still having computer probs, but thought I would post some pics while I had a minute.

"Here mom. This grass is the best!"

Soccer practice is back in full swing. Means that G spends an hour upside down :-)

My future geologist. That boy loves rocks!

So, the conversation went something like this:
me: Faith, that skirt is too short this year. If you are going to wear it, you have to have something on your legs.
This was her solution. Socks to her knees. Smart @$$!

Confidence in school...

I don't have a whole lot of confidence in our school when I get a note (well, not just me... it went out to everybody) that has a misspelled word in it.

I didn't know that you could sell "nachos, hotdogs, desert and drinks" -- Desert. Really?

I got it, I misspelled Spaghetti on my facebook page yesterday. But I am not a representative of an entire school -- someone who should be proofreading their stuff before sending it out to hundreds of families!! Hmmm... if only I had the patience for homeschooling. But I don't.

I really did think it was spelled speghetti.

The Poop on Reading

Thank you, Mrs B, for the recommendation of Digging to America. I liked it. But I have a story about finishing it...

With about three pages left in the book, I heard Sam poop. This was a good thing, since he had been a little grumpy. I was going to wait a minute before changing him in order to make sure he had finished -- plus, I could finish the book. With a page left, Faith comes in asking what the smell is. I say (as I turn to look at Sam in his exersaucer) "your brother pooped -- AAHHHH" Yep. He had pooped. And it had exploded out of his butt! It shot out of his diaper, down his pants leg and had pooled in the bottom of his exersaucer. He was basically ice skating in it! YUCK!

So, I got him out, hosed him off, gave him a bath, put on a clean diaper and clothes. Finally I got back to the book -- just to turn the page and see there were only two lines on the last page!

Now I have started on the next book... Traveling Light by Katrina Kittle. Anybody heard of it?
